6 Feb. 1962 MACV was first created in Saigon. US Military Assistance Command Vietnam. WOW, 56 years ago. Doesn't seem that long ago. Some Nam gear that has been picked up along the way..... Technically the Colt AR 15 SP1 doesn't belong. It was made in 1982, but it looks good. Has not been fired since leaving the factory. Montagnard bracelet & "Chieu Hoi" surrender pass. All helmet components are Nam period correct.
