  1. If its a WW1 item in good condition, then yes its a relatively rare piece, these things did,nt wear all that well out in the trenches. It would be a good idea to actually show the one that was handed in, so it can be gauged re condition and possible value, also if the optics are good or bad, any makers names, or district names of manufacture etc

  4. Armbands a textbook example imo, the flags a little harder to judge without detailed closeup pics, esp of any labels, stamps etc....swastika looks too faded but as I say better photos might show a completely different angle to things.

  9. I've taken some photos of the Monoculaire, the tripod and the box. The optics appear clean, but inside the swivelling head, there are three 'prisms?' that look as if they should be glued together but the 100 year old glue has given up, so someone clever would have to sort that out. I haven't tried to move the tripod head. Again, I'd leave that to someone skilled in the art of WD40.
